Apart from painting; Farah Soltani started the idea of taking her painting’s subjects out of two-dimensional frames and once again create them in three-dimensional pieces.
As Soltani explains, “The idea came in my mind after my painting series “My Nostalgic Taste of Childhood” but it took me some time until I made my first statue in 2017. Later, I was determined that is high time to take everyday objects which I paint and find in corner of houses and free them in actual corners of homes and public spaces with a new meaning /approach.”
Soltani’s first statues are made of metal and fibre glass that is as high as 90 Centimetre. These pieces are replication of her painting series “Count-less” with almost same colors and minor changes in positioning on a flat base.
